Secondary English that works with the way your child thinks

Specialist English tutoring for Years 7–12, for mainstream and neurodivergent students. Calm, structured support that builds real skills and lasting confidence, in Hawthorn and online.

Every student thinks differently. We teach to that.

Some students need a stronger foundation in essay writing. Others need English explained in a way that finally makes sense. Many need both.

We support mainstream students who want to lift their results, and neurodivergent students who learn best with structure, clarity and patience. That includes students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other learning differences, with or without a formal diagnosis.

Your child might:

  • understand the text but struggle to get ideas onto the page
  • feel overwhelmed by long essays or open-ended questions
  • find it hard to start, organise or finish written work
  • be capable and curious but losing confidence in English
  • want to move from a solid mark to an excellent one

Clear steps. Real progress. No overwhelm.

Explicit, step-by-step teaching

We break essays and analysis into clear, manageable steps, then model each one before students try it themselves.

Structure that sticks

Students learn reusable frameworks for paragraphs, text responses and persuasive writing that they can take into any classroom or exam.

Support built around the student

Sessions adapt to each student's pace, attention and processing style, with movement breaks, visual supports and chunked tasks where they help.

Aligned to school and VCE

We work from the Victorian Curriculum and VCE English Study Design, and alongside your child's current texts and assessment tasks.

Confidence first

A calm, judgement-free space where students can ask questions, make mistakes and see their own progress.

Every session includes:

  • targeted teaching on the skill your child needs most
  • guided practice with fillable worksheets and scaffolds
  • feedback on written work
  • a short summary for parents on progress and next steps
